Why so many committees? I see a lot of redundancy. This could be cut in half or less. Seriously, they are expert at two things. Wasting time and wasting taxpayers' money.
The federal government has become a giant bloated bureaucracy as a result of the rise of the administrative state in the executive branch. Once you have a parallel legal code (the Code of Federal Regulations) to the United States Code (public laws passed by Congress), the demand for "managers" and "administrators" balloons. The whole thing needs to come down, but it's an angry beast and is kicking and screaming the whole way.
